On big old picea stump, cowered with moss. Like at least 50-100 specimens. Specimens on top like the ones on image, baseball bat like, on side of stump going to console like. Size all +/- like on image. Meat 'woody' except on very top. Color enhanced, but really looked more bright yellow compared to ...

What is that. I mean what does variedades crespa mean ? Is that L. s. subsp. crispa ?
Because it looks like gentile to me. Which should only, AFAIK, be Lactuca sativa. + cv. Kayac or cv, Guenola or ...

Might be introduced, at forest road. Leaves like 15 cm. Flowers like 4 mm, to be white. Loc.:Slovenia.

Only on top leaves. No sign of anything like fungal fruiting bodies (looking at originals), in general this thing looks black.
Not from heat, ceartainly.

I think I spotted same thing here previous year.
No flowers, something similar all around with yellow flowers (no red leaves) but can't spot star shaped hairs, on top side of leaf, on those.

Seems to me imported with plants. Note orange to almost red colors. The bigest, fattest, if Fuligo septica, that I have ever seen.
