I understand the "?" as question about the hairyness of Mimosa pudica:

There are different varieties, the one with lots of hairs = M.p. var. hispida
In Australia the sparsely haired plant is M. p. var. unijuja.
I do not know how the other variants differ.

BTW, Kraichgauer: cryptic messages are not cryptic in fact. Probably computer or math oriented. IF..THEN..ELSE...

The only thing that counts is whether people understand what you're asking, and in this topic they don't, at least not me or Michael. You could have simply written "The stem is very hairy in <image1> but only sparsely in <image2>; how can this be assessed?". (If that is actually your question, which I do not know.)
