Dear Colleagues,
My name is Csaba Molnár, and I am a botanist from Hungary. I am primarily involved in floristics. Among other things, I am conducting taxonomic research on Potentilla, specifically on the taxa of the highly complex Potentilla incana - verna - heptaphylla group found in our country. I would like to gain a better understanding of the taxa that live in our country, which is why it is essential to examine the original type specimens. I would like to ask for your help. There are three important taxa about which I know nothing regarding their type specimens:
Potenilla adulterina Domin 1935
Potentilla puberula Krašan 1867
Potentilla arenaria Borkh. 1796
Does anyone know which collection these are kept in? It would be even more helpful if a photo or scanned version of the type specimen were available.
I got your contact details from my colleague, Tamás Exner.
All the best!
Csaba

Re: Potentilla typus
Dear Csaba,
thanks for asking. The expert for Potentilla here in Germany is Thomas Gregor, who has published (among others) a list of the names of the Potentilla collina complex here http://www.flora-deutschlands.de/collina_namen.pdf.
Unfortunately, your 3 species are not in this list.
I will send you his contact details by mail.
Michael

Re: Potentilla typus
Dear Michael,
Thank you very much! I will look for Thomas Gregor. The table you sent is very valuable, but it covers a different Potentilla group. Therefore, I still hope that someone might be able to tell me where these three type specimens can be found.
Alll the best!
Csaba
